After seeing Melanie’s post for this day, I almost had to copy her because I too love “Sweet Home Alabama.” It’s a classic Reese Witherspoon and possibly one of the only adult movies out there that I would consider clean. I’m pretty sure my parents let us kids watch it without any reservations and they were pretty careful about what they let us watch when we were younger. Even though I do really love that movie, my favorite would have to be “She’s the Man.” It just doesn’t get any funnier than Amanda Byrnes. If you don’t know who that is, maybe refrain from googling her name because she wen’t a little crazy in the last few years.
Started out as a comedian as a kid and even had her own show - “The Amanda Byrnes Show” - on Nickelodeon. Then she did some movies and a few other tv shows before going off the deep end. Anyhow, I consider this movie my favorite simply because it’s one that I can watch over and over again without getting tired of it. And lucky for me, my mom has watched this movie lots of times with me and so she understands my references to it. In fact, my family really likes using movie references in every day conversation. Just yesterday my mom sent a Snapchat that said “fixed the newel post!” The nurse putting my IV in got the reference and laughed along with me, but Carrie - who read the Snapchat out loud - needed an explanation for it. But it was pretty comical.
