I'm a writer. Plain and simple. I've been blessed with a lot of freelance work to keep my limited time occupied, which means I do write just about every day. However, I'm always writing for someone else, never truly for myself. On a whim, I'm doing a 30-day writing challenge here on the blog. I need a little accountability, so I'm doing this in public and I hope some fellow writers will join me. It will definitely be a challenge to sit down and write every single day, but I'm up for it. Since I know myself better than anyone else, I need to have some ground rules to reap the most benefits from this challenge. Here they are:
No writing a blog early to get ahead, you must write to the prompt on the corresponding day.
If you miss a day (or several) you can go back and write to those prompts, but still no working ahead.
If you get stuck, start with a picture that might give you a little something more to write about.
Not everything needs to be super long, keep your answers simple but significant.
Don't get caught up in semantics; this is an exercise in creative freedom.
Be OHV, the worlds need more of that anyways so why not start with yourself.
Don't miss a day, seriously, set a reminder.
I borrowed most of these prompts from other writer's journaling challenges, so thank you to those who contributed without knowing it!
